Hello fellow murderers Anyone have experience playing this type of game before? I have played mafia online a lot (epicmafia, townofsalem) and I think we have to play somewhat aggressively to win. From personal experience we have to play as though we are townspeople and infiltrate the group to gain trust while not acting suspicious at the same time. The fact that roles ARE NOT revealed once someone goes to the jail is a huge advantage for us. One strategy I have is that one of us can fakely claim as the detective saying that so and so is a murderer to direct the town in the wrong direction. If one of us does this it has to be either on the 1st or 2nd round. 1st round - say so and so is a murderer 2nd round - say so and so came up innocent, and your target on the 2nd night is a murderer The problem with this is that its a possibility that our claim could get called out by the real detective and then you just have to avoid being voted out to the jail. Other than that, its possible to just play an under the radar game and bandwagon vote on whoever is being voted on. Also if one of us gets voted on to the jail and it would put suspicion on you to protect that person, then its better to just bandwagon vote rather than risk saving one of us for numbers. Reminder that we only win when there is 1 villager team member left out of the 6. Statistically the best case is that we vote off 2 members (through jail and killing) and win in 2 rounds by having a 3-2 majority on the 3rd round. There is the option to not kill, but I don't think there is any gain in doing that. And since they have a doctor we have to hope that they don't get a successful heal because the more time the village team has to assemble, the lower our chances of winning. Any thoughts? We have to decide on a person to kill asap. I hope you guys will be active enough for us to win c;

Btw, I have not talked to Plat all game and have talked only a little bit with Trevor. So I'm not sure what kind of players they are.
I've talked to Rexxy, Kevin, and Ethy a lot and seem to be very active.
I think it might be worth it to kill an active person to negate the chance of a a villager majority vote.

just take note that you all need to have a consensus vote. if someone doesn't vote, it will automatically be considered as a vote if there's only one name being called up

I fully agree. Rexxy is very social, and without him they won't be that good. Ethy and Trevor are strong, but they're better at strategy, than communucations. Vote for Rexxy.

Hello! I'm finally back from work! It's a pleasure to finally be able to work closely with you guys this Main Match!!
I love this game, but I have to admit I'm absolutely horrible at it. I really like Joseph's plan, but I suggest that I not claim to be the investigator as I think I would do a horrible job at it haha. I think I would be best suited to be a completely innocent villager. I'll probably hide in the background and possibly move people's opinions towards jailing other people. If that doesn't work, which knowing me might not, I'll probably go with the majority while saying things every now and then.
But yeah I agree, so I also vote for Rexxy.

What do you all think about one of us (Lukas or myself) claiming investigator in round 1 or round 2?
It might be worth directing town or else we're at the mercy of a random bandwagon imo.

If Rexxy is an inspector, that would be brilliant, but what if not? Two people would claim that and no one would believe anyone.

Sorry guys if I wasn't able to contribute anything in the Main Match discussion! I was at church from the time the Day round started up til now! But I'm not sure what to do right now. I myself think we should vote for Kevin because he is the only other person talking besides Ethy. Most likely I'm going to die, also I won't be awake when the next round starts due to the weird time slot since the game accelerated, so there might be a possibility that I might miss the entire Day round. I was thinking that if Ethy does investigates me and comes up with murderer, I could spout utter nonsense and possibly confuse people or I can be like "Since I already know I'm going to lose, [one of us] and [one of them] are also murderers, please protect me in the Death Match because I'll most likely be going because of this post. If you don't trust me, Ethy should investigate [one of us] next round and it'll show that I'm telling the truth, so then we'll lose two of us, but we might also be able to arrest one of them. Ethy checks one of us and then we convince everyone else to arrest the other person. Actually now that I'm writing this, this probably wouldn't work at all though it'll lead to 9-1 = 8 players currently, -1 for next round = 7, -2 for two of us = 5, -1 for the next round and hopefully -1 for the round after that to make 3, kill 1 more to make 2 and then we win? I hope I did my math right. So theoretically it could work, but actually it probably won't... What other ideas do you have? Also I apologize for the wall of text, also I'm going to work soon and won't be done til 1 AM EST (5 1/2 hours from now more or less), so I'm going to hold my vote for now so that we can continue to use this thread.

I actually remembered something, I think Kevin before the game said that he had "villager-related role", so if Ethy is constable, he is doctor. If we kill doctor in this turn, we can kill Ethy next turn, and even if we'll lose Arnold, we'll have 2 murderers against 2 villagers, so we'll win a majority vote at all times.

Alright so I'll be down to kill Kevin.
Also what would you like me to do. Would calling people out before I die be worth it? Calling out fake or real murderers or a combination of the two? Or call out Ethy and Kevin and hopefully cause confusion in all the villagers? Up to you guys.

In my opinion, even though Arnold will show up as a murderer to Ethy we have to remember that it requires a MAJORITY vote to send someone to jail.
I disagree with Arnold's strategy because we need all of us alive or else our chances at victory will become slimmer. I can see the potential for misdirection, but for every one of us that dies, we need an extra round to get the town majority. I really think we have to go all in to really win this main match (without putting suspicion on us of course).
I also agree with killing Kevin, so assuming that Kevin is dead in the next day round there should be 7 people. Since mas changed the rule of how to send someone to jail, that means that it would be a 4 person majority vote to send Arnold to jail. What I want to bank on is Ethy not be able to rally up the other villagers to vote Arnold off due to inactivity before the deadline (scummy, I know).
So as long as none of us vote Arnold UNTIL THE BANDWAGON STARTS (to avoid suspicion on us), our chances of winning next round should be very high since once we kill Kevin off successfully (if doctor doesn't heal him) it would be a 3-3 tie.
From there we can comfortably kill off the villagers one by one. So this is a very critical round that Arnold does not get sent to jail.
mas, my vote is to kill Kevin.

Arnold, I think you should just continuously deny that you are not a murderer in any way, shape, or form without throwing myself or Lukas under the bus. You can try claiming doctor, but definitely don't mention myself or Lukas at all please [:
From there I'm hoping that staying neutral in not voting you off will buy us enough time as a team to get the majority.
