Hey Mas, just a quick check, movements are one spot right?
ie; if I'm at 58 (top left), using Taxi can bring me to: 44, 45, 57, 59, 74 and 75? Since they are all one line away. Bus allow me to go to 74, 77, 46 and 1
And does me landing in a spot a detective current is considered losing too? Or it must be them landing on where I am
Also, what is considered as furtherest away from the killer? Are we going by numbers/ or number of stops in the shortest path from the detective to the killer?

'Double moves tickets cost 7 garnets and blank tickets costs 8 garnets for the killer to use.'
by the way, this means every time if I want to use this I need to pay this many garnets? or are this for extra tickets?

yes, if you land on a spot that a detective is on is considered losing. their spaces will be public so unless you decide to kill yourself, you should be able to avoid.
and it's considered by number of spots away for the furthest away. not by numbers.
the example you give for taxi is correct.
and the garnets is only for extra tickets. the one on hand is not needed to use garnets

Questions: 1) What do you think about the Death Match that happens? that was a really nail-biting DM, I had so much fun following it and watching the momentum shifts from one side to the other... definitely enjoyed myself! At the start, it was Joseph with a lead in chip count, then Rexxy took over, and then it was a stalemate for awhile before Rexxy had a good streak of good cards that helped him get the win! It was long but enjoyable for me at least, imagine the stress both of them feel.2) What are your thoughts on Joseph leaving? Dang... I feel sad for him leaving, although it was part of my plan, but ultimately it was my choice of DM candidate. picking people off closer till the end would be pretty hard right now since we've worked together for a fair bit. I dont feel as bad last time when I try to orchestrate Tom/ Henry's boot.
His revelation that he was kpooper was a shock as well, I didnt expect someone who played TSG to be here as well.. But he went pretty far then so I had high expectations of him! He's the one that won the 11th MM right? Whichwas pretty amazing imo. Well, it seems like people from TSG are all still pretty close together, maybe we could make that happen ourselves eh mas?
But overall, Joseph was a good competitor and he was pretty smart, I've bonded with him over the past few games, and it was great knowing him. Sad to see him go, but right now, it is a cut-throat game so I guess this has to happen, especially since he is one of those that I had trouble working well with closer to the end. I guess we cant leave too many threats around. But he had an impressive run playing a slightly low key game, the fact that he didnt go to DM despite not winning any MM in 6 rounds is pretty impressive. Props to him!
3) What are your thoughts on the remaining players left? Well Joseph did mention that we're all pretty good compared to TSG, and he says that we are all-stars calibre, I take that as a huge compliment. Things does seem tough from here on out, the competition are stiff, and I guess no one is here by luck. The previous MM shows the relationships that everyone had are all pretty much inter-twined, so everything is pretty complex right now. (the fact that i still dont have a private room with Joshua is pretty crazy )Here's a quick run through of the remaining people:Kevin: 5MM 1DM wins - Kevin is pretty smart and insightful with the game. His MM track record, and his DM showing with Plat was impressive. The only unknown about him is his social game, he doesnt seem to talk much to me (and its usually straight to business, maybe he's busy). I'm not sure of his interactions with others. Definitely great working with him and I hope he dont come against me so soon.Rexxy: 2MM 2 DM wins- Really great ally, smart in both MM in coming up with ideas, and working with DM. Both of his wins are actually quite impressive! I had so much fun working with him so far. And it is pretty sad that he didnt manage to win as much as I did since he's like my ally from the start and we do everything together! But he seems like a tough competitor to beat in the finals, which is something I have to think about. He is pretty much a huge fan of the game, following the past seasons of the forum Genius and participating in Secret Garnets, and also diving into the analysis of ALL the deathmatches in the game. (meanwhile, I only did a post on the best female players in the show on Reddit, priorities )Trevor: 4MM 0 DM wins - Trevor is another quiet soul, for most MM he has been working close to me up till the last one, but I guess we have our priorities, and I kinda denied him , but he hasnt been to a DM too, so that is impressive on his side as well, not sure if he is on anyone's radar but I guess he is sitting pretty in the middle right now in terms of threat level. Not sure who is he super close to right now though, maybe Arnold?Joshua: 3MM 1 DM wins - Another really quiet soul, not sure how much is he talking to people, but I doubt it's much, he did not participate in a really active role in our SEA alliance as well. of course I dont doubt his ability 'cos there must be a really good reason why he is here, he seems to be going what is best for him and what is safer for his longevity in the game..Arnold: 1MM 2 DM wins - My big time ride and die. Really good person to talk to and I enjoyed every moment of this game with him discussing what happens on both sides of the game from each of our perspective. Been alot of fun. He is very fun and insightful to play with. Really a great decision working with him to final 2, well, the problem is still whether I am able to beat him in the finals, definitely a threat for me to go against, he had 2 strong DM showings too. Especially the deal of not using items, dangg.. i want to use them if I reach there hahaha! I'll think about it before honoring that deal, but right now, I'm gonna work with him to best of my ability, he is so smart and he's just like a US version of me .and of course:Ethy: 7MM 0 DM wins - I'm talking to a hell lot of people ! (if anyone is tracking the number of posts we made, I've made an obscenely high number of posts for someone who havent been to the DM, I hope no one caught wind of this and call me out ). To put things in perspective, I have like 30% more post then Rexxy who had been to that long ass double-sided poker DM. the 2 people that are close to me are Arnold (2 DMs with one that has plenty of post against Lukas) and Kevin (and he is not even that close) I guess I had some sort of deal with everyone, but the sad thing is that when those deals are broken, I guess I'll get called out and become a target subsequently defnitely somethign I need to be careful of. With my current showing, I guess it might be wiser to go for an immunity run so that I'll be safe. Of course the best testament to my social game is if I were to not win the MM, I still wont get picked for DM, but I'm not sure what are the odds of that happening . Definitely Im seen as a huge threat by everyone, if I keep taking upthe MM wins, they cant get it, they are not safe, so its better to get me out, but I guess if they believe I'm working with them, it's all good. Now that there is a chat wiht everyone but me, I guess I'll be the topic of talk, so definitely I'll be in some trouble . Shall see how it goes.
4) What are your thoughts on the Main Match? At first glance, it seems a little luck based, it kinda reminds me of the DM we played with Jay and Lukas, basically its about moving around and hiding your identity. But i guess lying about where I'm going and outsmarting them is a good thing, but I guess its better if I try to plant a few spies over there (and by a few I kinda meant everyone, I'm hoping to see people reporting it back to me so that I know who I can trust or so hahaha) OVerall, it seems like a pretty fun game, but I'm not sure what are the actual odds, likedoes it favour the detectives or the killer. I guess if they all decide to coordinate I'm easily deadmeat. I hope some of them are actually inclined to working with me so that I have some shot of surviving.
5) What is your strategy for this Main Match? Right now what I'm thinking is always to stick close to the intersection, when the time comes after I reveal myself I'm gonna use one of the blank cards/double move to go far away and to create confusion so that they have no idea where I'm heading towards, a few sharp turns and U-turns here and there would definitely throw them off!
And also, I'm gonna tell some of them that I'm heading towards a certain direction, but instead I'm heading somewhere else. (right now I'm telling Rexxy and Joshua I'm going bottom left but instead I'mm probably going top left, you dont need the water when you have reliable motor transports hahaha! (not SMRT (its a Singapore transport company for those reading this post season!!)))
this is going to be so much fun and I hope I could get this win! Excited to see how it turns out, and of course it could go completely bad but I have to trust the people Im working with right now. Anyways, what is the origin of this game?? I'm kinda interested in getting my hands on one of these myself!

It is based on a board game. There is one called "mister x" and one called "scotland yard". Same premise. It's a cooperative game among the detectives cos as long one of them caught the killer, they all win. I had to tweak it of course to make it only one can win for the genius

Hey Mas, here's a sort of proposal, I understand that it is partially to make the game go a little faster, how about making the turn time for everyone a little longer, let's say... 12 /15 hours? It does give them more time to plan around and stuff, but of course, we should use as little time as possible to complete our moves. i doubt i need much time myself You can play around with the time limit so that we can get a good compromise overall.

i'm not sure i will be changing it since everyone, except joshua, seems to have an idea of where to go. do the detectives think they need more time?

Well, I am the one that's the most unsure about what they are planning haha! Well I guess if no one else think it's an issue then I guess its fine, just putting it out there 'cos I felt bad for Joshua for missing so many turns, he basically saved my life kinda
