Hey Pete, I'm Ethy nice to meet you! Not sure if you've been following the entire season so far, but neither have I on both of yours, only took several glances at certain matches, so I have no idea whats your playstyle. It would be good if you could let me know your playstyle for this game, and well as what you were thinking of this game. Lemme do a brief intro of myself, I'm Ethy (real life name: Jia Wei) 22 year old student from Singapore. Gamewise: I'm The only one left in the game so far that had not gone to the deathmatch (not planning to anyways). I won the first 8 MM. And I believe both of us are the top 2 in all time main matches wins (8 for me, 7 for you ). I guess I need some protection because I bet some of them see me as a threat. And I wanna continue my streak and legacy. My usual strategy is to my social game, working with several people to work for a common compromise. So I'd be keen to work with you, and I hope that our interest align (I suppose youll get $8000 in fake money if you win right? Did mas promise you that?) Well lets have fun this round and hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Ethy, good to hear from you. I had not realised that I had won 7 main matches ! I do remember sabotaging a few of them, I was in an alliance with Adam and Tomcat, which worked really well. I met Mas on the old IMDB game boards, and it's there that he invited me to take part in season 1. I loved the game and concept, so much so that I watched all the series online, and was delighted when he invited me back for season 2. I'm from the UK, I'm....a lot older than you , but don't hold that against me . Currently working as a bilingual consultant for an auction firm. As for this main match, there are so many variables, my brain is melting simply trying to work it out. Statistically, the permutations are endless. If your social game is up to scratch, then you'll need it, but since you have won all the main matches so far, I imagine they will be very wary of you. One thing for sure is not to reveal your hidden number to anyone. Another thing to keep in mind is players will be able to make a good guess what your number is simply by looking at the numbers and signs on show, so is it a good idea to try and get as close to 10 as possible, but not getting 10? Also, it was mentioned in the rules that all negotiations are private, but all coin exchanges etc must be revealed on the main thread. This could be a vital piece of the puzzle. I assume that every round, everyone will know exactly what each player won. So lets say for example, that you and I both got the numbers that we wanted....there's nothing to stop us from "pretending" that we are negotiating, no? So we act like we make a deal, coins are exchanged, but no numbers are traded....yet all the other players will think that we did, and totally throw them off. I'm assuming I've understood the rules and game correctly . It's also important to keep in mind mathematical rules. MDAS multiplication / division / addition / subtraction , this is the order when performing an equation. No, Mas didn't promise me anything , I was more than happy to help with this match. Best of luck, let me know what you think

Heyhey, Hahaha I looked up the table that Lukas made, that came really handy I suppose. Ahh, if you worked with Adam before I guess this time you could work with him to help someone win again Reliving the good old times. I see, really nice then! I need to read season 1&2 and maybe I'll like it! Hahaha I see, age is no issue I guess, I suppose, maybe double? Oh btw, Kevin is 35 (i think), so the age gap is closer? Ahh what other langauge do you do then? Since you're working in an auctioning firm, are you secretly the host of this game, and mas is the 6th player, in the greatest twist of this game yet. For now, I guess the divide is powerful (just like whatever that happened in S3E10), so I guess the most advantage goes to the one that got hold of either of the divide. I'll approach a couple of people to see what they're thinking, but it's hard to get a common goal for all of us since we're competing with each other ultimately . Yeap I believe some of them have plans to send me to DM . Yeap I guess what you said is valid and I'll keep that in mind. I guess we can try to form a 'deal' as much as possible. We'll try to let one another know if we need a number badly and we could keep a lookout for one another.. Mas, you need to give them 8000 Mas Dollars if they win it! And what can I buy with the 86000 Mas dollars anyways?

Another idea to keep in mind, is the option of having one of the guest players win. If you make a deal with one of the other players, then the two of you can get a token of life. You see, the guest player comes first, one of you two comes second, the guest player gives the token to the other. It is risky, but it's an option. I speak fluent French, and also a bit of German. I don't think I would have the patience to host a game like this. Last year I hosted a game called Wacky Races, based on the old cartoon. Teams basically answered questions and solved puzzles then raced against each other. It's a lot of work, but it can be fun. Also, please keep in mind the time difference. If I'm not active then it's probably cause I'm sleeping/working , but I will try to be as active as possible. I think it was in season 1 when Mas had one match where zombies raced etc...one of the characters was a Gumiho, until then I had never even heard of that , but after a bit of research I ended up watching a Korean tv series called My girlfriend is a gumiho, which was kinda fun, very different from the tv stuff we get over here. I don't watch too much tv, mainly movies, but a lot of sports. Never been to Singapore, but I did stop off in Thailand and Japan when I traveled to Australia years ago. I wish I'd stayed in Tokyo a bit longer actually, maybe one day I'll go back, you never know. So what are you studying?

Ahh that is right. I'm wondering if what I wanna do with that ruling. If you have someone who intends to work with you let me know.
Actually me, Rexxy and you could work together since we're all in order. He's a really smart dude and it'd be a pleasure for you to work with him, I'm in great working terms with him for the previous few MM. We could get all the useful numbers/signs for ourselves, even securing both divide for both of us.
Ahh thats really nice! Must be tough learning so many langauges.
And you are really well travelled too! Japan feels amazing with their rich culture, any plans to go to Korea? K-pop is really hot over here! Everything is so interesting over there, I watched a few korean dramas and its really interesting and they're full of novel ideas.
I mainly watch reality competition show like Survivor and american sitcoms. Basically I'm down for a good laugh to chill most of the time.
I'm studying chemical engineering right now, in my second year right now.

And no worries about work and sleep! Its a very common thing right here.
Myself, Mas, Rexxy have similar timezones. Kevin and Trevor have like the complete opposite. And for this game timing isnt as important, just having to get our moves down before the deadline.
I cant respond fast myself since im on mobile. (Currently on holiday at Malaysia and going back home tomorrow)

All good no worries. Seemed like there wasnt much delay.
Anyways, how interested are you in getting the divide for now? Personally i wanna avoid multiply and getting divide would be a bonus.

I think all the players will be looking to get the divide sign....the important thing is to make sure whoever gets it also doesn't get "11" and the subtraction.

Yeap seems like it. same goes to 10 and addition I guess. Trying to see if any deals are popping up, so far no one has approached me yet. right now I'm trying to see what Adam is trying to do, since he may potentially block me, but I guess I might be upping the bet, especially if the winning bid is 1 .

I have a theory....if you're sure that a player really wants the division sign, then perhaps it may be an idea to make sure he doens't get it cheaply. Here's a scenario:
player 1 spends 15 coins bidding for the items he wants most. He's left with 5 coins. He gets 20 points for getting exactly 10, plus , for arguments sake, 12 or 15 points cause others can't guess his hidden number (near impossible if he has 11 and division and subtraction. So his total is 37 or 40
player 2, on the other hand, doesnt bid for anything. He still has 20 coins at the end. He tries to make 9 or 11 as his total. He gets 15 points for that, plus the 20 for the coins. Here's the kicker, how many other players will guess that he was going for 9 or 11 ? I would say none. so thats another 15 points. Total = 50
It's only a theory, but it's not that bad, the trick is making sure the other player bids those coins.

I guess the hard part right now is managing the balance, how much are you gonna raise such that the other person is gonna continue bidding, and what advantage is it gonna bring. I'm expecting the complete package divide + plus/minus + 10 or 9 is gonna give like ~15 points worth of advantage. So I believe that equates to around 7 points for a piece like divide. That is the approximate I'm willing to go for for divide, I guess others have similar sentiments too. I'm gonna raise it for people to start panicking, but most importantly I need to make sure that I'm in a good position myself to be up for trades.
Personally how much would you go up for to get a certain bid? I wont go too high, but I'm not gonna settle for a low deal by someone else for now.
I think I have some gambling issues. Please no bidding DM for me

I found out from Mas that once you pass, thats you out for that round. So I can't bid anymore this round. As for you, is 3 coins worth it for the division sign ? If someone bids higher, you don't lose those 3 coins. Is it worth letting it go to someone else for 2 ?
If I had know that "passing" means you are out for that round, then I would have bid....cause guarenteed someone else would have bid higher and I would still be in the round.

Ahhh thanks for letting me know, that is kinda important right now. I'll most probably be raising then. Well, youre out for bidding doesnt mean anything, you could still help someone else to put you in a better position I'm not sure how desperate you are to avoid a certain sign, but I'm trying to avoid multiplication for now. You could help either Trevor or myself to get the bid then. I guess Rexxy getting the bid isnt a good thing for you since you'll pick last. Right now, I'm perfectly fine with Rexxy getting the bid, just that I want to squeeze out a little more out of him for now. I'm just scared something backfires on me P.S. If me winning the bid is hurting you, lemme know and probably I wont raise so much then

Feel free to do what's best for you....this early on in the round, it doesn't bother me what I get, cause there's so much negotiating and bidding to come...I just wish I had more say in the current round, even though I'm not bothered about winnnig it, if that makes sense
