Looks like ethy is winning this again, along with either joshua or arnold

I blame Arnold . I thought he initially wanted either you or Plat to win this. If so, he would have taken a dive and cross the line with a 4, with you and ethy winning it

I'm honestly so done with this MM . -Joshua being afk -Ethy being a nuisance. Him getting pushed by myself and Joshua ruined the endgame for us. ugh If Joshua wins its really bad for us: Ethy has pledged to not pick myself/Arnold/Plat as DM candidate. He won't pick Rexxy, so it'll be between Trevor/you. Either case you might be seeing the DM. Joshua might not win due to being afk and then Arnold will win. Arnold will not pick for myself/Plat, Ethy won't pick Rexxy. Leaves Joshua/Trevor/you. Joshua might be DM candidate in this case.

Ethy plans to pick Plat as dm supposedly. Said he wants you safe, but break the trio of you, plat, arnold. This is just based on his word. I could still very well pick as for DM candidate

I also put in word with Arnold/Plat to not choose you for DM since you helped us out by resetting Plat
I'm trying to influence them to pick Rexxy to weaken Ethy by proxy but we'll see

I don't think that'll work. I believe Rexxy deleted me because of Ethy suggestion, he thought I could reset myself but couldn't(Can't take his word that he knew that ruling). But it just seems everyone is working with Ethy. Joshua/Trevor/Rexxy/Arnold(Who I think was having a deal to make sure both aren 't DM candidates with each other). Ethy right now though made too many deals and has to break one once he picks DM candidate.
If I am chosen, i'm picking Trevor for the fact that he is tightest with Ethy

If either me or Plat get chosen, i'll picking Trevor. I want to pick Rexxy, but I think he realizes now based on chatting with him after he deleted me, that Ethy is tight with everyone. But we'll see what happens first with this DM pick

Rationale makes sense. If I went to DAM my best pick would've been Joshua.
That aside, I was considering Rexxy but might pick Trevor for your reasoning as well.
Hm. But if I do get picked as DM candidate I might still pick Rexxy as a revenge pick.
If you do end up getting picked by Plat it's gonna be a worst case scenario for me ugh.
Yeah's just wait and see.

Optimally, the best place to play from is going 2nd after getting 3 wins. 3 wins gives you a round advantage + going 2nd you choose the outcome. This is an important point because you need some buffer rounds to get rid of your low tiles.
There are 2 key points imo:
-Starting with 2/3/4 -Looking from your opponent's perspective/anticipating their moves -Keeping track of their remaining tiles
I think starting with 2/3/4 is great bc you can halve the possible tiles Plat has left. So if you play 3 and Plat plays white and wins, you know he either used a 5/7 etc. This is super important in the later rounds.
There is also the other strategy of going aggressive and opening up with huge numbers. You can fluster your opponent, but you don't gain any information this way. For ex: if you played 8 and Plat played a 7, you would win but you don't get any information bc you have no idea what Plat played. Conversely, Plat knows with absolute fact that you used your 8.

Here are my notes a practice run I had during TSG: Joseph - Opponent (possible tiles played) = outcome 4 - black (0,2) = win 2 - white (3,5,7) = lose 5 - black (0,2,4) = win 6 - black (0,2,4) = win 1 - black (6,8) = lose 8 - white ( ) = win 3 - white (5,7) = lose 0 - white ( ) = lose 7 - 8 = lose Key takeaways: -This run I completely threw the game. My last 2 tiles were 0 & 7 and the score was 4-3 when I submitted the 0. I was concerned bc I only had a 7 left and didn't know if my opponent had the 8 left. So I took the safe route and played the 0 praying that the 8 was already played previously. -The point I'm making here is map out your decisions with every tile you play esp in the later rounds. Also take note how I had no idea what tile was played when I played 0 & 8. -When I submitted the 1, I knew with certainty that my opponent played the 6/8 since the combination of 2/4 must be gone already. TSG Finale match: 4 - black (4) = tie 5 - white (7) = lose 6 - white (1,3,5) = win 3 - black (0,2) = win 7 - white (1,3,5) = win 2 - white (1) = win 8 - black (8) = tie It was so easy to deduce what tiles my opponent had left due to the number of ties (unlikely on average however). Submitting the 5 and losing to a white tile, I gained the important information that my opponent played a 7. Conversely, he has no idea if I played a 1/3/5. This is why playing middle numbers is really good early on. 4 - black (4) = tie 5 - white (7) = lose 6 - white (3,5) = win3 - black (0,2) = win 7 - white (3,5) = win2 - white (1) = win 8 - black (8) = tie Also after winning with a 2 to a white tile in round 7, I was able to eliminate the uncertainty with his remaining white tiles. (changes in pink) So keep track of both you and Plat's tiles as the game goes on. It's a lot to take in aha but I hope these examples help!
